Combining quality, flexibility, process optimisation and brand communication in one technology: digital web printing. With the first digital press for preprint in Germany, Christiansen Print took an important step towards digital development in 2016. Be inspired by the possibilities of the HP PageWide T1100S digital press!
With the installation of the world's largest digital press, Christiansen Print has installed a revolutionary printing technology that offers a wide range of possibilities to customers in the corrugated and branded goods industries. On a paper width of 2.8 metres, long runs can be printed at speeds of up to 183 metres per minute without compromising on quality. Set new standards for your printed products and streamline your production with optimised digital web printing processes.
A total of 260 print heads in the CMYK colour space ensure high-quality colour intensity with great colour results at a resolution of 1,200 dpi. The use of top-quality HP water-based inks enables colour printing on a variety of papers (coated/uncoated). Want to add varnish? This is also possible with the digital press thanks to an integrated varnishing unit.
Whether your print products are short or long runs, digital printing can make them more affordable and flexible: There are no plates or clichés, no ink mixing, and none of the handling or makeready times associated with analogue printing. Digital roll-fed printing supports your supply chain with just-in-time production. And with variable data capabilities, you can add security codes, tracking codes, barcodes or other data to add even more value to your process chain.
No printing plate costs, less waste paper, lower handling and preparation times than in an analogue environment: The dual benefits of digital preprint are that it minimises costs whilst at the same time creating countless new opportunities for industry and brand producers.
This is because the HP PageWide T1100S can do more: Unlike traditional digital preprint which previously was only used for short or ultra-short print runs, it now cost-effectively supports the production of larger print runs, which in the multi-lane process are printed in individual lanes. The technology also meets the packaging requirements of brand producers for volumes and flexibility in the FMCG segment.
This is how we achieve total variability of print content, the most diverse combination possibilities on the roll, combined orders instead of individual ones and for one or several customers at the same time. Segmentation means cost optimisation and it simplifies and speeds up workflow Value-adds to digital printing on the HP PageWide T1100S include shorter lead times in the ordering process, the economic production of the very smallest print runs – even of just one copy, customisation and versioning, on-demand and just-in-time production, for instance, of highly topical POS displays or seasonal campaigns.
Water and pigment-based, environmentally-friendly inks are used in the printing process and they comply with the legal and sector specific EU and US standards for food packaging.
The HP PageWide T1100S produces first-rate colour printing quality on a wide range of papers which is totally comparable to offset or flexo printing. The range of possible papers covers coated and uncoated substrate classes and types from recycling and primary fibres with a weight from 80 to 400 g/m². No printing proof is needed. The proof is created on original paper.
